If you've heard of the artist Banksy, then you've probably heard about the recent exhibition he's had on at Bristol museum! People have been travelling from all over the world to come and see his work and the queues have been unbelievable!
Since his exhibition was such a success, I've decided to put on a mini exhibition of my own here in the Motel store! We'll be housing art for one week (31st Aug - 6th Sep), from local talent! Who knows... maybe one of them is the next Banksy! Come down and check out all of their work and have a browse at our fantastic new range and summer sale that we have going on! It's going to be a great week!!

Shop Blog 1 - My Hot Picks !!

Hi My names Jenna and I'm the manager of the Motel store in Bristol!
I thought I'd use this blog to keep you up to date with whats going on in our Bristol store, from promotions, style queen shoppers to my favourite picks of the season! I'll even get my staff involved to give you their favourites, how they wear their motel garments and even give you insight to working for Motel!
As you can see I've titled this one 'my hot picks' and that's exactly what I'm going to tell you about!I love working in the Bristol store and getting to see all the new clothes arrive and get myself some gorgeous new outfits (i mean what girl wouldn't?!!) so here are my top picks from the brand new autumn range...

I absolutely love the new PEACH TROUSERS. These are so comfortable to wear and look amazing. I literally feel like I'm coming to work in my bed clothes!
I love to team the repeat tiger ones with a black bodice like above or a nice strapless one, with either a vintage belt or vintage chain. Ive got boots on with them above but I've worn them out with some sexy vintage heels before and they look great! I always get comments on these when I'm out and about!
The black peach trousers i like to wear bright vintage bodice's or baggy t-shirts etc.. as the bottom half is plain you can go a little crazier on the top half ;-)

I recently got this little black number (the Imelda dress) for a party i was going to, i wore with some lovely nude coloured vintage shoes and a vintage bag to match. It has such a great low drop on the back its so flattering on all shapes! I also love the ruffles, it gives a great 80's feel!

The Zoe (left) has been an all time favourite of mine since it came out ! I love wearing these on their own, with a crop top over it or even tucked into a high waisted skirt, they're just so diverse!! Now the newer shape, the Sarah(right), has come out... I'm just as in love! Its so flattering and for those not as daring its great as it's longer than the normal dress length in Motel, giving it a classy sexy feel to it. I'm off to a gig tonight and I'm going to wear this with my over sized denim jacket and black boots !!

You can buy all of the above item at www.motelrocks.com (naturally)

Lastly... although you can't buy the R & R on-line, if you live in the Bristol area, you should get down to the shop to check out the great new shapes we've just had in a long with lots of really cool vintage items.. here's me trying out one of the new vintage jumpers and a pair of the most amazing vintage shoes I've ever seen!

On that note I'll love and leave you, feel free to come down to the store anytime and say hello and to of course check out the fantastic range we have in store !!

This week we have a 'Bristol Business Discount week' where anyone who works in the Bristol area can come down and sign up (we only require an e-mail address and mobile number!) and grab themselves a 20% off discount card which they can continue to use for money off all their full priced garments!

See you soon, Jenna xxx
